Kim Vaz-Deville will discuss Walking Raddy, a new collection of essays edited by Vaz-Deville that explores the female cultural performances that unfold on New Orleans streets, staking claim to public space and breaking gender norms. This collection follows her first book, The 'Baby Dolls': Breaking the Race and Gender Barriers of the New Orleans Mardi Gras Tradition.
