Whitney Plantation, Midlo Center for New Orleans Studies , Friends of the University of New Orleans Library, and UNO's Justice Studies Ph.D. Program presents a public lecture with award-winning historian and distinguished lecturer, Karen L. Cox, on Tuesday, March 28th at 6 p.m. on the 4th Floor of Earl K. Long Library, University of New Orleans. In her talk, Cox will discuss her latest book, “No Common Ground: Confederate Monuments and the Ongoing Fight for Racial Justice.” The book examines the long history of Confederate monuments built after the Civil War to the protests against them in the summer of 2020. This event is free and open to the public.
