Join St. Thomas Community Health Center for the “Block Party for Life” in Algiers in the 1800 block of Newton Street between Sumner and Hendee Streets. Keeping you and your family healthy is what we care most about, and that’s why we are celebrating your health with a day of music by DJ Gravy and One Shot Brass Band, a BBQ, a fish fry, health screenings, a second line and more! The event is free and open to the public, and is family-friendly. Free health screenings will include hepatitis C, HIV, and blood pressure testing. St. Thomas’s We PrEP Together initiative to be there to talk to you and your loved ones about how we can work together to keep the community HIV free with PrEP. Thank you to our partners We PrEP Together, NOMTOC, Craige Cultural Center, Becnel’s Automotive Repair, and Algiers Charter School Association for making this possible. Hope to see you there!
