Oct 22 Nailed It Film Screening
Visit any strip mall in the United States, and there’s bound to be a Vietnamese nail salon. While ubiquitous in cities across the country, few Americans know the history behind the salons and the 20 Vietnamese refugee women, who in 1975, sparked a multibillion dollar industry that supports their community to this day. Weaving powerful personal stories with insightful interviews, Nailed It, a new documentary by director Adele Free Pham, captures an unforgettable and often hilarious saga born of tragedy, charting the rise, struggle, stereotypes, and steady hold Vietnamese Americans have on today’s multiethnic $8 billion dollar nail economy. Join filmmaker Adele Pham for this free screening and discussion on Monday October 22nd at 6:30pm at The Ranch Theatre inside the Contemporary Arts Center as part of the 29th Annual New Orleans Film Festival. A reception will follow the screening at The New Orleans Advocate.

Oct 24 Rise of the Business Bots - How Chatbots are Disrupting Marketing, Sales and Customer Service

Chatbots are proving to save businesses big bucks, but when you decide to let a robot take over interaction with your prospects or paying customers, there is a fine line between functional and frustrating.

Bring your questions, thoughts, and experiences (good and bad) and let's enjoy a lively discussion into how to weigh the pros and cons of bot adoption, and how to build a strategy that is friendly to your visitors, not just your finances.

Oct 31 Weird Wine Wednesday
Join Spirit Wine in the pursuit of flavor as we explore natural wines the last Wednesday of the month. The trio wines featured at the tasting are 10% off. A white, red and sparkling will be featured at each natural wine seminar. This tasting is a bit heavier on the educational side of things. Bring your taste buds, wine journal if you like, and come on over to the vino au natural side.
