New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity (NOAHH) is a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in 1983 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. The New Orleans affiliate is ranked in the top 40 out of 1,100 Habitat for Humanity International Affiliates. NOAHH partners with low to moderate-income (30%-80% AMI) working families in the region to build and finance new, safe, and affordable homes. While widely known as the builder of homes for low-wealth individuals, NOAHH also constructs rental housing and performs home maintenance and repairs. NOAHH has been a beacon of hope - rebuilding and deploying tens of thousands of volunteers to construct new homes in damaged, blighted neighborhoods following Hurricane Katrina. The support of volunteers, donors, and partners across the country, and even the world, has contributed to making NOAHH one of the largest builders of workforce housing in Louisiana, having completed 700 homes since its inception.
