About Us

Housed in a restored historic 1800’s brick building in the Arts District of Downtown, New Orleans Glassworks & Printmaking Studio has been a non-profit studio and gallery since 1990. As the South’s largest studio where science meets art, we offer a variety of classes (both Short and Extended) in glassblowing, scientific torchworking, welding and metal sculpture, stained glass, jewelry making, printmaking, paper marbling, and more!
Our front-room Gallery houses many works of art created in our studio by our local instructors as well as by the many prominent visiting artisans who take up residency at our studio. We offer breathtaking free daily demonstrations in glassblowing as scheduling permits.
Throughout the summer, our studio is dedicated to our Summer Technical Workshop for students ages 9-19 to explore their creativity and build their skills in areas such as glassblowing, welding, scientific torchworking, ceramics, printmaking, and architectural models, to name a few! During the rest of the year, our studio is ideal for hosting hands-on Team Building and Receptions for both local businesses and corporate groups.
