On Tuesday, May 7, thousands of front-line hospitality employees, tourism leaders and elected officials will march through the French Quarter for our fourth annual travel rally/parade. This event is our opportunity to show New Orleanians, the media and Congress why Tourism Matters! We plan to have the largest and most vibrant rally of any city in the nation, complete with a Mardi Gras-style parade featuring marching bands, mini-floats, stilt walkers and much more.
The parade is free and open to the public. We will meet at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, 300 Bourbon Street, at 8:30 a.m. to prepare for our parade through the French Quarter and end with a press conference at Tableau at Le Petit Theater, 616 S. Peter Street. The parade will begin promptly at 9 a.m. The press conference will feature Lt. Governor Dardenne.
Please click here and let us know how many of your employees will participate in the parade. We encourage you to wear your company uniform or logo and bring signs, banners and flags to help promote your organization on camera.
Let’s make New Orleans’ National Tourism Week events the best of any city in the nation!
