A wonderful and unique holiday film, PAPA NOEL: The Legacy of the Levee Bonfires,
Documents a tradition steeped in rich history, folklore, food and fire.Audiences are treated to the stories shared by St. James Parish elders, and witness first hand the power of a community dedicated to supporting one another and upholding their long stranding tradition.
PAPA NOEL: The Legacy of the Levee Bonfires has been airing in this region for the last three years on PBS. This year the film has a new 3 year agreement to take the film nationwide on PBS this holiday season. Another very exciting opportunity is on the horizon as the Producer and Director of this film, Mark Niedelson will be featured on the front page cover of Filmmaker Life Magazine in the September issue which will be out in a few weeks time.
The magazine will be featuring a 3 page article about the filmmaker, the documentary and they will be promoting the film and the nationwide broadcast on their website and on social media.
