Human trafficking is an issue that can affect every part of our community, and awareness is one of the most important tools we have to help recognize and prevent it.
Join us on Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. for an informative and important webinar focused on human trafficking awareness, prevention, and the practical steps businesses, organizations, and individuals can take to recognize potential warning signs and respond appropriately.
Featuring representatives from Eden Centers and the Greater New Orleans Human Trafficking Task Force, this session will provide valuable insight into human trafficking in our region, who may be most vulnerable, and the resources available to help.
From hospitality and tourism to small businesses, large employers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, we all have a role to play. The more people across Greater New Orleans know what to look for and how to respond safely, the better equipped our community will be to recognize concerning situations and connect individuals with the appropriate help.
Why attend?
- Gain a better understanding of human trafficking and how it can affect our region, particularly during major events and periods of increased visitation
- Learn about potential warning signs and who may be most at risk
- Understand how businesses, employees, and community members can help recognize and respond to concerning situations
- Discover trusted resources and appropriate channels for safely reporting suspected trafficking
We encourage businesses and organizations throughout Greater New Orleans to register and share this opportunity with their teams. Building awareness across our business and hospitality communities is an important step toward creating a safer, more informed region for everyone.
