Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, this historic cathedral is a symbol of the city’s enduring cultural and spiritual traditions, making it the ideal setting for a concert that celebrates the rich musical heritage of New Orleans. This collaborative performance brings together the soulful sounds of Shades of Praise, New Orleans' renowned gospel choir, and the uplifting harmonies of NOLA Vox, the city's official Barbershop Harmony Society chapter. Founded in 2023, NOLA Vox is dedicated to enriching lives through vocal harmony in New Orleans, welcoming singers of all backgrounds and focusing on a repertoire that spans multiple genres. Shades of Praise, established in 2000,is New Orleans' interracial gospel choir. They perform contemporary gospel music in the African-American style, introducing gospel to wider audiences across racial and denominational boundaries. Their mission is to forge relationships that dispel stereotypes and create racial harmony.
