TWO LOUISIANA WOMEN ACHIEVE NATIONAL AWARD IN POLITICAL CONSULTING

DUO NAMED TO AAPC’S 40 UNDER 40

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last week, two LSU Manship School alumnae and women who founded Greater New Orleans’ digital consulting firms, Last Word Strategies Founder and Principal Kristine Breithaupt and Shoreline Strategies Founder and CEO Cassie Alsfeld, were announced as members of the 2024 Class of the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC)’s 40 Under 40.

"Your 40 Under 40 Award win is a testament to your unwavering dedication and passion. Congratulations on this well-deserved award,” said AAPC President Larry Huynh.

“This award is a reflection of your relentless pursuit of perfection. Congratulations to the new 40 under 40 class of 2024!” added AAPC Vice President Kyle Roberts.

“I am honored to be among such a talented group of the AAPC’s 40 Under 40 award winners. I’m especially grateful to our team, and to everyone who has helped me navigate my career. It’s been rewarding to help deliver for candidates and causes,” said Breithaupt. “I named our company Last Word Strategies because I believe in the long game –  that wins don’t come overnight – but success is inevitable with persistence, innovation, and a tsunami of collaborative labor.”

“It is truly an honor to receive the AAPC’s 40 Under 40 Award alongside the best and brightest in the political industry. At a time when our country needs real leadership, it is refreshing to see the high caliber of talent receiving this award,” said Alsfeld.  “Since I got my ‘start’ in politics at 4, I’ve always felt called to serve. From my post-Katrina recovery work to my efforts to get more women in office, I’m grateful to be able to do what I love, while also making an impact on the causes and communities I care about most. That’s why I started my company, Shoreline Strategies, almost a decade ago.”
